The words “bipartisanship” and “unity” have been paraded for the last few years as a altruistic goal. President Obama, Rep. Pelosi, and other Democrat big-wigs have repeatedly said both are their intent, preferred governance tactic, and goal. Why and what do they really mean?
Webster dictionary defines ‘bipartisan’: “of, relating to, or involving members of two parties ; specifically : marked by or involving cooperation, agreement, and compromise between two major political parties“. Nice dream but they seem to be missing a HUGE point here: what if the result of this desired bipartisanship and unity is actually BAD?

For example; what if a majority of Democrats and Republicans agree to pass a bill that strips Americans of their right to free speech, bare arms, or legal council when charged with a crime? This would definitely be bipartisan and definitely wrong.

Anywhich . . . the latest howlings by Pelosi and Obama blames Republicans for attempting to derail their $819+ billion special interest payoff scheme deceptively called a “stimulus” bill (the bill passed anyway). Republicans are branded as “partisan” as usual.
I really don’t care for bipartisanship since I believe in getting the correct results, and don’t give a crap how many of the other party voted with me. However, for those out there who cling to the notion that “bipartisanship” is some holy grail, here’s the breakdown of the House vote . . .

For: 244 Against: 188

Votes for: 244 Democrats + 0 Republicans.

Votes against: 178 Republican + 10 Democrats.

Now, for those who actually read the definition of the word “bipartisan” (see above), which side on this bill was BIpartisan? Which side was partisan?
Yep, you read it correctly – the Dems, led by the Obamessiah and St. Pelosi, got their bill passed by the House with a 100% PARTISAN vote. The bipartisan vote was AGAINST their bill.

President Obama’s first attempt at leadership and gaining bipartisan support for a pet project bill has failed spectacularly but . . . the partisan side of the House still passed the bill.

I guess “bipartisan” has been re-defined by the left as “preferrably, but not required, two-party support for what Dems want”.

Typical. No “change” here.

Ah, President Obama has been sworn into office bringing hope and change.

Obama dropped his previous pastor when the public became aware of Rev. Wright’s racism. Today’s inaugural benediction prayer was given by Rev. Lowry who, unfortunately, seems to hold the same views as Wright.

Judge for yourself. Here’s the transcript of some of the prayer:

‘Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around… when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen. Say Amen’

Ah, a focus on skin color and the assumption that “white” isn’t embracing what is right. Now how would those of African decent feel if I were to say the following in a prayer the whole nation was listening to?

“God, please help us work toward a day when blacks stop doing wrong.” -Rev. Me

I’d be branded a racist… and rightly so if I said such a vicious racial generalization as that. However, the current unwritten rule is that liberal minorities can’t be racists – thus, the mainstream media will ignore this blatant example of racist rhetoric as if it never happened. Typical.

I guess Obama’s first big change was to make the inaugural benediction prayer a divisive, racist political commentary. Nice change. What next???

OK, I get it . . . the obamessiah takes the the big white house tomorrow – bringing hope/change/peace on earth/a new tone/bipartisanship/blah-blah… For all you ultra-leftists out there, a small warning – we never quite get what we want in a President. However, if you squint hard enough, the President you voted for can actually DO almost exactly what the previous hated President did, and you’ll still love your guy and hate Bush. Quite funny actually.

Here’s a small sample of how a maniacal hatred for actions and ideas of one person/party can evaporate if your your preferred person/party does the same thing:

Bush spent $40 million on his inauguration during war time = Bush is wasteful and wants you poor. Obama spent $170 million for his big party during war time = Obama is sharing history with others.

Bush indicates that closing Gitmo difficult = Bush is a torture-loving fascist. Obama says closing Gitmo difficult = Obama is an agent of righteous change.

Bush says FISA necessary = Bush is a nazi. Obama says FISA necessary = Obama is a paragon of virtue.

Bush says we need to stay in Iraq = Bush is a tyrant. Obama says we need to stay in Iraq = Obama is the bringer of peace and light.

Enquiring into Obama’s relationships with Bill Ayers = Privacy is the primary concern. Enquiring into Sarah Palin’s birth of her son Trig = Full disclosure is the primary concern.

Being a liberal is so much easier than thinking. Oh well, I guess I’m cursed to be a conservative/libertarian.

Rejoice or tremble … or both – 2009 is here.

So far the decade has been defined in the USA by the War on Terror, a recession followed by record highs in the stock market and home ownership followed by a recession, and supposed “global warming” replaced by 6 years of cooling and sea ice coverage equal to 1979 levels. The Iraq front of the WoT appears to be almost over for US troops but Afghanistan might just end up with a huge ‘surge’ of troops soon.

We will have a new President in a couple of weeks. This man campaigned as the culmination of what the left and much of the “center” wanted in a President: liberal, anti-military, pro-union, black, young, little or no executive experience, a ‘change’ agent, anti-2nd Amendment, radically pro-abortion, and NOT a southerner. We’ll see how he lives up to the left’s demands.

I wonder how many days I should graciously give President “hope-change” Obama before I blame HIM for everything bad on the planet. Why not? Even AIDS in Africa was Bush’s fault according to the liberal media.

The new age of “hope-change” is already tarnished with corruption and Barack Hussein isn’t even sworn in yet. Yay, it’ll be like the days of Clinton again . . . lots of political cronies in court and in jail. Yep, no change here yet. I predict the list of political criminals and those with big ‘moral’ troubles will grow dramatically in the Obama/Reid/Pelosi empire (oh yeah, some will definitely be GOP’ers). If I have the time, I might attempt to keep track of the more recognizable names . . .

Democrats: Gov. Blagojevich, Sen. Burris, Rep. Jefferson, Sen. Edwards / Republicans: Sen. Stevens (the list will grow)

2009 – as for my own resolutions: write more in this blog . . . or not.

Today is the day of reckoning for Americans. Today we will elect the leftist Obama or the center-right McCain.

If Obama wins, expect your taxes to increase. Yes, you. The guy who only makes $40,000 a year. Yes, the chosen one had promised to raise taxes on only those who made over $250,000 a year, then that was revised to $200,000, then Biden let slip that the salary level they were targeting for increased taxes was $150,000, and the last number to be floated was $120,000. Anyone see a trend here? Ignoring these taxes Joe the Worker will still feel the sting of raised taxes because the Bush tax cuts from 2001-2002 will revert back in 2011 and 2012 – and the Democrats have been working hard to ensure those tax breaks are repealed. A Dem-controlled Presidency, House, and Senate will not only kill President Bush’s old tax breaks, they will author their own tax increases.

Will the obamessiah and his promise of a socialist utopia win today? Unfortunately, that’s exactly what the polls tell us as of yesterday. Enough Americans have bought the socialist lie that by tonight, we might just have elected the most liberal President in our history: Barack Hussein Obama.

Politics usually revert to rather tough tactics but we’re getting close to new levels of nasty . . .

Political hacking fun

A punk son of a Democrat politician has been questioned (and will be charged) for hacking Gov. and VP candidate Sarah Palin’s personal email account and posting the info online. Hackers should be beaten in public. To show my nonpartisanship, I volunteer to flog the first person who hacks Sen. Obama’s personal email.

Anti-Iran-nukes rally fun

Hillary pulls out of an anti-Iran-nukes rally when she discovered that Gov. Palin was also invited to speak. Then certain New York Democrats threatened the rally organizers with IRS investigation into tax exempt status if they allowed Palin to speak. After these strongarm (dare I say fascist-like?) threats, Palin was “disinvited”.

Real estate & banking fun

Banks and brokerage firms heavy into real-estate have taken a huge beating in the last few weeks – some are bankrupt. Everyone wants to blame everyone else but the bottom line is that the banks made horrible decisions on WHO they extended mortgages to: those who didn’t have the resources to pay them back. Absolutely idiotic leaning policies. The core of the current crisis consists of loans that were made with virtually nonexistent underwriting standards – no verification of income or assets; little consideration of the applicant’s ability to make payments; no down payment.

Here’s the big issue: banks are limited by federal regulations on the risk levels and other factors that they are allowed to assume and still receive federal insurance. Somehow these limitations were relaxed in the past 30 years. The core of the current crisis consists of loans that were made with virtually nonexistent underwriting standards – no verification of income or assets; little consideration of the applicant’s ability to make payments; no down payment.

Ever heard of the CRA? Activitist groups like ACORN in the ’70′s and ’80′s making claims of racial discrimination in mortgage lending lead to the relaxing of lending criteria. The Community Reinvestment Act put pressure on lenders to offer loans to those who couldn’t afford them by ignoring size of the mortgage payment relative to income, credit history, savings history and income verification. Talk about sacrificing business practice on the altar of political whims – wow.

The Carter-era CRA was expanded by Clinton. No surprise there since the mortgage recipients targeted by the CRA are overwhelmingly Democrat voters. Gotta keep the masses happy I guess. President Bush doesn’t get off without any blame here either . . . he just followed along with current policy assuming “all is well”. Too bad this one blew up in everyone’s faces. We’re ALL now paying for these liberal ideals infecting business practice.

In case you’re in the market: CRA loans are still advertized online and are still available via ACORN with “100 percent financing . . . no credit scores . . . undocumented income . . . even if you don’t report it on your tax returns.” Yay for bad business!

If we continue to sacrifice logic on the altar of racial, class-warfare politics, we deserve what we get!

The Democrat Party for decades has touted itself as being for women – strong supporters of the Equal Rights Amendment and all sorts of feminist goals including abortion-on-demand and Title IX “rights”. The evidence, to those of us who care to really notice, shows us that this Dem support for women is only applied where politically advantageous.

A few days ago, Sen. McCain officially chose Gov. Sarah Palin as his VP running-mate. Even before the announcement was made, the leftist Dem-mouthpieces (including dailyKOS and democratunderground) were attacking Palin with anything they could find or dream up.

I have no problem with anyone being against anyone else in the political realm and digging up “dirt” on an opponent can be a very effective strategy. However, most Americans recognize family and gender issues as either partially or entirely “off limits” in a campaign. Issues of race used to be taboo but B.Hussein.Obama has run much of his very successful campaign on exactly that issue so I guess that’s now an “okay” issue.

The disturbing part of the leftists’ fury aimed at Palin is that so much of it is based on gender and motherhood. How can they be “for” women yet attack their opponents for exactly that?

The day following the Palin VP announcement, dailyKOS ‘reported’ that Gov. Palin’s youngest child Trig was not her’s but was birthed by her oldest daughter, Bristol. Even writers from The Atlantic jumped on the story and demanded Trig’s medical records. A blatent lie but effective since the story was still circulating in the leftist blogosphere as of yesterday (even though KOS took down the post). By-the-way, B.Hussein.Obama used to be a dailyKOS “diarist” (that means blogger to we who live in red states) as recently as 2005.

The New York Times has even suggested that Palin should have stayed at home because she has 5 children. Other commentators have stated that the currently-pregnant Bristol should have had an abortion rather than carry her baby to term (due in January I believe).

Direct attacks against a female politician accusing her of lying about her own pregnancy and children and implying she is an unfit mother because she has an unwed, pregnant teen daughter . . . typical leftist hate of everyone who isn’t a lefty. Anti-female sexism at its worst – from the party who claims to be for women.

The Democrat party is one of expediency – anything to assume the power. If it’s race vs. gender (Barack vs. Hillary) they choose race because 90%+ of black voters will support them. If it’s a conservative woman vs. anything or anyone, women’s rights be damned.

Why does anyone continue to support these leftists? And when are we going to have a true debate of the issues without all the race and gender crap?

Another typical week in leftist politics. Expect more of the same to come.

*** Che was a terrorist! ***

Ah, the Dems have finally annointed the ‘chosen one’ – B.Hussein Obama. Her “thighness” did her duty and called for an acclamation ‘vote’ so as not to put the DNC through having to actually count delegate votes. It might have been a bit embarrassing to find out that almost one quarter of the votes wouldn’t have gone for Barry.

He-whose-middle-name-we’re-not-supposed-to-mention had his crowning moment last night – the acceptance speech for the Democrat nomination for the party’s candidate for President of the United States. Senator B.Hussein Obama made a flowery speech about how he was going to take us into the future and that “There’s not a black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America; There’s the United States of America.” Tell that to the Caucasian and Asian-Americans who try to get into a university and are rejected because some “deserving minority” student with lower qualifications is accepted instead. Tell that to the non-black children of workers in my company who apply for one of the company’s college scholarships only to find out that it is reserved for black kids only. Dr. King’s vision of being judged on character rather than skin color sure isn’t being realized in these areas.

Sen. Obama said last night that he was ready to debate about who had the, “judgment to serve as the next command-in-chief” and that, “John McCain doesn’t get it.” If I had as “shaky” a past as B.Hussein, I would never be the one to bring up the issues of judgment or experience:

Barack took campaign money from the known-dirty Rezko and then getting his “help” in buying land and the family home. Great judgment demonstrated on friend/business partner selection!

Obama has never run so much as a corner store. Makes for extensive experience in managing…nada.

Obama listens to the wacko Rev. Wright for 20 years, calls him his “spiritual advisor, let’s him baptize his kids . . . then says he had no idea that Wright was an anti-American, leftist, racist nut-job. Great judgment demonstrated on pastor selection!

Obama was also a close associate of William Ayers for years . . . and knew of Ayers’ terrorist past. Of course the Obama campaign people either see nothing wrong with it or are trying to distance themselves from Ayers – depending on which day it is. Great judgment demonstrated on friend/coworker selection!

When B.Hussein was a candidate for the U.S. Senate in 2004, he said he would “unequivocally” oppose President Bush on the war. But once in office, he voted for every war-funding bill — until he decided to run for president. How’s that for consistent?

Though we hear almost daily from the Obama camp about the evils of the Iraq War, on July 27, 2004, Barack told the Chicago Tribune that when it came to the war, “there’s not much of a difference between my position and George Bush’s position at this stage.” HUH?

This list could go on for days but I’m tired of this Barry guy and writing about him is a chore. He inspires only those who have no clue about the war, truth, and who Obama really is. Obama’s judgment is bad, his experience with running anything other than a campaign is close to nonexistent, and he lies and/or flip-flops on almost all his positions – even the Iraq War issue that got him the nomination.

God help us all if this guy becomes President!

Ah, yes . . . another week in my beloved United States of America. This greatest nation on Earth sure has its share of those who just don’t understand anything.

Tyson – yeah, the chicken guys – just dropped Labor Day from their holiday list. No, laborers didn’t lose a holiday . . . it was replaced with Eid (or Eid al-Fitr). You’ve probably never heard of Eid, huh? That’s the muslim holy day at the end of the month of ramadan. Hey, at least Tyson chose a communist-inspired holiday to replace with a muslim one. Another company falls to islamo pressure . . . typical? Hopefully not.

Ah our great leaders in Washington are playing with your wallet as usual. Speaker of the House (2nd line to replace the President if needed), Nancy Pelosi, has been adamently blocking any vote on lifting the off-shore drilling ban. So far she has not allowed any vote on the subject and even had the House chamber lights turned off – while GOP house members were still discussing the issue on the floor. Now the rumblings from beltway insiders is that Pelosi is secretly telling some of her Democrat ilk that they can choose to support off-shore drilling vocally if it might help them with reelection – but she’s still blocking the floor vote. Basically it’s all about getting Dems reelected and ignoring your pain-at-the-pump. Typical? Definitely.

Animal rights activists are targeting UC Santa Cruz scientists with terrorist tactics. Their first few bombs didn’t explode but it seems they studied their terrorist bomb-making handbooks more closely and have now blown up one UCSC scientist’s car. Hey, what’s a car in comparison to the deaths of poor, little animals anyway? It didn’t end there. Recently one scientist’s home was fire-bombed. The scientist, his wife, 7 yr old son, and 6 yr old daughter were able to get out of the house using a safety drop-ladder from an upstairs window. Hey, what’s a few children compared to the deaths of poor, little animals anyway? A spokesman for the Animal Liberation Press Office said, “It’s regrettable that certain scientists are willing to put their families at risk by choosing to do wasteful animal experiments in this day and age.” So the animal-huggers are saying scientists are bringing terrorism on themselves by doing their jobs researching medicines to benefit you and me. Typical? I hope not but it’s not looking good for America . . .

Senator Obama’s birth certificate authenticity issue may finally make it into the main stream media . . . but I’m not holding my breath. Google blocked a few blogs as “spam” recently and those blogs just happened to be focused on questions about Obama’s birth certificate authenticity. Typical Google move? Yes, it’s happened before to multiple websites and blogs for various reasons. The authenticity question surrounding B.Hussein.O’s birth certificate might be heard by the American “sheeple” one day. Why is this birth certificate important? It establishes eligibility for the office of President of the United States. For some strange reason our forefathers thought that the President should be a U.S. citizen from birth. Wow, what a concept. So far, the Obama campaign has avoided this topic of Barack’s birth certificate authenticity at every turn. Seems to me this is a huge eligibility issue and should be addressed by the campaign immediately and forcefully to “put it to bed” now. Are they hiding something? Who knows, they won’t talk. Typical? Of course.

And, last but not least on today’s musings . . .

Per the Denver Post, groups planning to protest in Denver during the Democrat convention are angry that they had to sign a “treaty, which called for ‘a moratorium on the public throwing, spraying, smearing, hosing or inducing of excrement’“. American’s have a long tradition of protestations and civil disobedience. Many of these issues I support wholeheartedly and even those I disagreed with, I still support their right to protest (within city ordinance rules of course). Not to denegrate these protestors or their issues, but . . . holy sheep dip, they want to throw crap! Who in hades are these people who horde all sorts of doo-doo, drive to a protest with a trunkfull of crap, then demonstrate their stances by throwing dung, doo-doo, crap, feces, and droppings??? I’ll bet $20 that not one of these feces-throwing groups is a ‘conservative’ protest group! Anyone out there willing to take that bet? Typical? Yep, these whakos wallow in crap and want the rest of us to join them.

Ah, another fun week in America! God bless America . . . even if so many Americans are idiots!

~~ Hitler was a Liberal ~~

Holy sheep dip! I filled up my wife’s Dodge Magnum at the the pump yesterday and spent $65. Thank God I work from home full time now.

Oil demand has been climbing faster and faster over the last few years and will continue to do so – but our domestic supply has been mostly stuck at amounts we had in the early to mid-90′s. Other nations are expanding their supplies but that just makes the US import even a larger percentage of our oil. We need oil, we need it to come from domestic sources, and we needed it years ago.

So oil bounces around in the $130-145 a barrel range for weeks, US citizens are being hit hard in the wallet which affects our overall economy, and our elected officials in D.C. have the power to do something about it.

So? What have they done to help out? Let’s see . . . President Bush just issued a decree undoing past presidential decrees that had blocked drilling off our continental shelf. This is good. It removed any White House hindrances to more drilling.

Thus, we are left with some past laws originating from Congress. Since our representatives in Congress are looking out for you and me, you know they’ve been falling all over themselves to remove any blocks to domestic drilling . . . or not.

Once again the Democrat leaders of Congress have decided the tree, squid, coral, and carabou-huggers are correct – the animals and plants are more important than you. No wonder this Democrat-controlled Congress has the lowest approval rating of any Congress in US history. Last week’s Congressional approval ratings hit a record low of 8%. Yep, single digits. Geeeeeee . . . I wonder why???

Nancy Pelosi and her ilk are traitors to their fellow citizens and has repeatedly failed to uphold her oath. Californians, please vote her out asap.
